Sketch to Scrapbook

I finished another layout and even had time to photograph, edit, and blog it!  I love long weekends!  These lovely girls are my niece and daughter at Christmas.  When they get together it is non.stop.silliness.  :)

This layout is based on another of Shimelle's sketches.  If you haven't yet, stop by and check it out!
Lots of Studio Calico products here.   The orange patterned paper is from Kaiser.  I broke out some pumpkin glimmer mist and copied shimelle's technique of painting the edges.  Fun!  The orange looks alot more saturated in the photo than in real life.  I like that it gives the page a little sparkle.  I  have been on an orange kick... can you tell?  I also used a Sakura white gel pen to do some outlining.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest!

Layouts & Project Life Week 3

I was so excited to see Shimelle's Sketch to Scrapbook Pages challenges, happening again!  I love these challenges! I used her most current sketch for this layout below.  I also used up almost all of my Sassafrass Lass Foldie Flowers. Eeekk!  I hope someone comes out with something similar soon!   I also used some of my new Studio Calico and Simple Stories products.  Those aqua glitter Thickers came from Marshall's.  I got them for a $1.00!   Score!

This is a Christmas layout  using some Studio Calico Yearbook and My Dear scraps and labels.  There is also some paper torn out of my Smash Book.
* On a side note...I wish Smash Book would do a 3 Ring Binder System, instead of the coil binding.  (Just saying.)

My sweet girls.  Gosh they make me feel old, looking at them all grown up!  Another  layout for my Journal Your Christmas Album.  (Its getting closer to being done).

My un-embellished Project Life Week #3.   This is my first year doing Project Life.  I just don't know how I feel about it yet.  I don't want to quit, because I know it is always awkward doing something for the first time.

Here is the deal, for some reason I just don't get the creative release doing PL that I do when I scrap a layout.  I don't know why.  Maybe it is the pre-defined areas of the page protectors?  I feel confined?

I am not knocking Project Life at all... it is just different for me.  So, I am going to give it some time and see if I get into a groove with it... or not.
I do like seeing a photo recap of my week, though.  Ha !  See... I am still undecided.
I am feeling pretty relaxed knowing that I have two more scrappy days ahead of me, before work starts again.  I am off school for the Martin Luther King holiday tomorrow!  Whoot! Whoot!   Now...off to scrap!

Lots of Layouts!

Hi there! Long time no see. ;) I  had such good intentions of posting during my two-week Christmas vacation, but it just didn't happen.  I am not going to lie and say I have been too busy.  I just haven't taken the time to sit down and edit photos or write.  I have been taking lots of naps, working out, SCRAPBOOKING (Lots of it!), reading, watching movies, and just generally hanging out.  It's been AWESOME!

Christmas was wonderful and I loved every minute of it... but, I have to say, I am glad it is only once a year!  Phewww... all that preparation wore me smooth out.  I needed the R&R for sure!  Tomorrow is back to reality and back to work.  So before my life gets crazy busy again, I decided to share some of what I worked on during my break.

Warning!  This post is very picture "heavy"!

Me and my sweetie on Christmas day.  I used the new Studio Calico, Dear collection.  LOVE it!

I got the best Christmas present ever!  A Silhouette Cameo... which is how I made this "lovely" title! :)
Getting really jiggy with the twine.

Using up some of my scraps and came up with this.  Most of this is Studio Calico Yearbook collection.

I love my sewing machine! :)
This is my favorite layout of the bunch.  Mainly because the photo makes me laugh every time I see it.  I scraplifted this layout idea from the outrageously talented Maggie Holmes.  I adore her style.   I used products from Crate Paper, October Afternoon and American Crafts.

Last up is my handsome son, Tristan.  Again, I used Studio Calico yearbook collection.  Do you see a pattern here?  :)
That's all folks!  Well, almost.  Miss Ashli of purplemailbox has the monthly Layout Linky going on, which I am participating in.  You should too!  It's awesome!

The Great Outdoors

Hey friend! Thank you for stopping by! I just finished uploading a process video for my layout titled, The Great Outdoors. I used an Echo...
